Things That Will Eventually Come Back To Haunt Us

A number of conversations last week led me to dig through the ol' video archives.

This is at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, June 23rd, 1996. Seth and I figured it was as good a day as any to jump off a bridge. The Victoria Falls bungee jump is off the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia, 111 meters above the Zambezi River. At the time this was the highest span bridge jump in the world. A little Googling says there is a new tallest span jump, along the Garden Route on the southern coast of South Africa. Looks like Seth and I will need to hit that in 2010 during the World Cup.

Holy crap Andrew! That's crazy video. I love the semi-delirious crazed look you give before jumping.

10 years from now....

FD: "But Dad, why can't I blow up this coke can full of rusty nails? I put on my swim goggles to protect my eyes."

AF: "...already did it. only one of us needs a punctured lung and a glass eye. Go make me a turkey pot pie."
