Ben's Friday
Today Ben spent a lot of time showing me how we cannot possibly confine him to one area of the house where we've laid a blanket down for him. He would prefer to clean our floors with his belly. (We have discussed the possibility of crafting a Swiffer suit for him.) At one point he even pulled himself up on the stairs. There are no pictures of this because I quickly put a stop to that. Later in the day, we went to Becky and John's house and got to meet little Mr. Jack Carlyle Fuller. Such a cutie! As you can see, Ben tried to provide his floor cleaning services to them as well, demonstrating his technique in their dining room. Sorry, Ben, their floors were already pretty clean...don't think you're getting a job there anytime soon. Ben missed his bedtime by a couple of hours, but partied on like a champ. He finally conked out on the ride home. Hey, you try dragging yourself around on your belly all day! It's hard work!

Since you are the more experienced (by two months) parents, I thought I'd ask: what do you do about the pet hair (you have cats, right?)? Little Red Bean is just starting to crawl, and we've been confining her to the blanket too, but her day of scooting around our floors is soon to come! We have a dog whose only hobby is to shed fur. Are you just constantly sweeping? Or are you adopting a more laissez-faire approach?
